Description

The flaps fold down over the ears and the knit sits close at the brow, so it stays where you put it in wind. Warm enough for a Mongolian winter and welcome in a London one. Wear it with the Cable Wrist Warmers and a heavy coat. It is the hat for standing on a cold platform, rather than the one for a warm room.

Spun and knitted in our own factory in Ulaanbaatar, then linked, washed and finished by hand.

Standard UK sizing — take your usual size. Between sizes and prefer a closer fit? Size down.

Composition

100% Mongolian cashmere, 2-ply

Combed by hand each spring from goats that winter on the Mongolian steppe. 2-ply yarn gives a denser, warmer knit that softens with wear.

Care instructions

Always follow the care label inside this hat. It has the washing instructions for this exact piece.

Hand wash cool with a cashmere shampoo, or use a wool cycle at 30°C in a mesh bag. Do not wring; dry flat away from heat and store folded. A little pilling in the first weeks is natural and lifts off with a cashmere comb.
